                           LEGISLATIVE UPDATES

 

PINEVILLE, LOUISIANA...has proposed  BREED SPECIFIC dangerous dog

legislation.

 

SOUTH CAROLINA...Rep. John Scott Jr. introduced H.B. 3042, a State-wide

 

BREED SPECIFIC dangerous dog bill.  This State already has a generic

dangerous dog law.

 

WALKERTON, INDIANA...has PASSED a BREED SPECIFIC law in December. Now they

can just pencil in any breed they wish to ban.....I wonder if they too are

thinking about Rottweilers.

 

How about this one?  MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA...passed a law on November 14 ,

that requires all dogs and cats to be spayed or neutered.  Nothing wrong

with that, however, that requirement may be waved if the animal is a

"VERIFIABLE PUREBRED BREEDING ANIMAL".  Ed Note: UGH!

 

 

EDITOR'S COMMENTS:

   Do you know what is going on in your STATE, COUNTY, CITY or TOWN?  Do you

know how your Legislator's feel about Rottweilers?  What legislation, if

any, is pending that may affect you as a Rottweiler owner?  If you don't

know the answers to any of the above questions, you could awaken one day to

a knock on your door and an Officer telling that you can no longer keep

your Rottweiler where you live.

          WE MUST WIN EACH BATTLE BEFORE WE CAN WIN THE WAR!!
